Hi all,
Here is my problem, whenever I run my application in device profile i.e Base SDK is set to device, it gives me an error called “No provisioned iPhone OS device is connected” but it works fine when I run it in simulator profile.
I am even unable to run Apple's sample applications like “SiesmicXML” in device profile.
So. I'll be really greatful if anyone can help me with that.

rawnaveen,
This is because you don't have the signed cert. You need to get accepted to the developer program and you will use a tool to generate this and bundle it with your app. Then you can run the apps on your iPhone.

Hi Brandon,
Thanks for your reply. But do I also have to get a signed certificate for running my application in xcode iPhone simulator with Base SDK set to Device - iPhone OS 2.0 ? I am asking this question because I was able to run all the applications in iPhone simulator with base sdk set to Device - iPhone OS 2.0, which is not the case now.
So, please help me with this

Do you need a completed app to be accepted into the developer program?
How do we get accepted into the developer program? I paid my $99 and got the dev kit. I'd like to try some of my sample code on the iPhone but don't have a completed app to submit. Can anyone describe or link to a summary of what's involved in applying for and being accepted to the developer program?

Once you log into the Program Portal, you will see on the left a set of menu items: Team, Certificates, Devices, App IDs, Provisioning. You will need to apply for a certificate, register your devices that you want to use for testing (iPhone and/or touch iPod). You will also need a provisioning profile. I have managed to do all of this. I am new to this also, and Apple's documentation on the web is generally poorly communicated, IMHO. I just joined iCodeBlog and find it extremely useful. I have gone through some of Brandon's tutorials and they are excellent, dealing with issues that I was looking for answers for and explaining the whys and hows.
I am still having a problem getting the apps to run on my iPhone, however. I am getting an error message whenever I try to install a program. If anyone has experience with this. Again, Apple's How-to documents in the certification and provisioning areas is no more helpful than their tutorials.
