I guess someone had to say it, so here it goes!

I don't know any OpenGL at all, but I would like to start learning, specially OpenGL ES 1.1 which is the one iPhone uses, I think…

Anyways, I got some publicity about the book “Open GL ES 2.0 Programming Guide” and although it doesn't seem the right version, I haven't found any good site were to start from. What do you think? Can you give some advise where to start from?

Thanks!

A great place to start would be to simply learn opengl in any language.  The syntax is pretty much identical for open gl across platforms.  I started by learning in C++ using the . But a great example that apple has is the lunar lander example.  Pick that apart and you should get some great insight.

Thankyou for your replies. I have just found the Nehe Tutorials you mention and they look very promissing. Also I have read that another good starting point is . The link is the html edition of the version 1.1 and can be read for free.

Anyways, I had a look at the lunar lander (Crash Landing, right?) and I'm afraid I can't understand much. So I'll start with the links and come back.
