Is there a z-order for controls in the interface builder, and if so, how do you set it?

It has been my experience that the “z-order” for the UI elements is dictated by when you drag them on to your interface.So the first elements will be on the bottom and new elements will go on top as you drag them on.  I'd imagine this is also true for the order in which you declare them if you are creating them using code.

If debugging is the process of removing bugs, then programming must be the process of putting them in.

You can change the z-order using the Layout menu “Send to…” options in IB
