Inspector Window Keeps Disappearing

I've installed and ran xCode now on the Mac Mini and an iMac. In both cases when I run Interface Builder and open the Inspector Window (Tools – Inspector) the dang Inspector win keeps disappearing every time I click on another open app (like  Safari or Firefox) or even when I click back on xCode itself.

This is extremely frustrating when I'm trying to learn (ie: read a tutorial) and view the Inspector window at the same time – its not possible.

Is there some setting to stop the darn Inspector window from disappearing every time I click on another app.

FYI … whenever I return to the Interface Builder by, for example, clicking on an open View the Inspector menu pops right back.

That's because the inspector window is a child window of the Interface Builder application – and when that application does not have focus, its child windows are hidden.

It's a Mac thing. You get used to it.
