Hello everyone. I am trying to create an application for the iPhone that will use an XML file for it's data source. I downloaded the PerformanceXML and SeismicXML application from the dev center and tried in iphone simulator but it is not displaying the xml contents. It gives an “Unable to download from website (Error code 5) ” message.  The browser that I use always asks for proxy authentication. Could that be the reason? Or have I missed anything ?
 
Also, in , it is mentioned that we can move the xml file into the Resource folder and so when you build the application, it will bundle it up for you automatically. 
 
I have a few of questions with respect to this:
1. Is there a way in which you can store your xml file locally in the iphone/simulator such that it is not bundled with your application ?
2. Where is the following file located ? - ““  ? I found this being used in some sample code.
3. What is the easiest way of transferring an xml file to iphone ? Ideally, with my application, the user should be able to use any xml file that he transfers to iphone.
