Hi all,

Our app works great on the simulator, we've followed the apple documentation on their portal, done the certificates and provisioning stuff, click build & go (with device selected) and it transfers the files to the iPhone, then boom!….

err


This is what we get every time on an iPhone AND ipod touch.

We've spent 4 days in total now, fiddling with the various settings in Xcode's plist and project settings. I've read articles that mention 'missing steps' that are left out of Apple's PDF, done those too.

So what are we missing?

You haven't set up your provisioning profile correctly. Go to the apple program portal site (the link on the top right of the page) and click on the provisioning tab, and after that the 'how to' tab. You have to follow the directions there EXACTLY. Also, you have to be a paid up member to do this.

Yeah, read, and re-read and read some more for about a week. Fixed it yesterday, and I don't understand how. All I did was create a brand-new app that does nothing, put in all the portal settings as before and it worked fine on the real iPhone, switched to the  existing app, clicked build & go, and it worked fine too. Smile
