The “Digg” of iPhone Apps – Checkout My New Site

It has been a while since my last tutorial.  For that I am sorry.  My wife is 9 months pregnant and about ready to pop.  This being the case, she takes up most of my free time… I have spent a little of my extra time developing a new iphone apps site called freshapps.com.

The site uses WordPress as its main engine and aims to be a “Digg-like” site for iphone apps. It offers a new fun way to discover the “freshest” iphone apps without having to get buried in the app store.  I wrote a pretty slick homepage algorithm that aids in doing this.

Check it out and let me know what you think! I will be continuing with the iPhone programming tutorials after my baby is born.  This should be mid December.  I am sorry for the delay.  I will still be on answering questions you guys might have and try to get back into the forums.

Thanks for being a part of iCodeBlog. Happy iCoding!

    Hey,

This is Steven McWhorter I was to one who posted a blog about your blog. Your site rocks and I am writing my first app thanks to your site.

I have one question for you. How would you load and display a word (.doc) file? I have a pdf loading using the UIWebView Control, but I am lost with the word file.

Can you give me some direction!

Thanks so much and I continue to promote your blog to my friends!

    Thanks again,
    Steven McWhorter

first! Congrats on becoming a father.
I’m full of questions – feel free not to answer… only if you wish…
-Brandon…. where did you learn to program for the iPhone?
-Do you think selling native iPhone apps on the app store can really be profitable?
-can you refer me to the places where you learnt developing for the iPhone?
That will be all for now, Thank you – this blog is super helpful’ although I prefer coding without the IB.

    Nice blog

I am currently working on my eigth grade project. I am developing a iPhone application do you know how long it takes to develope a basic application. FYI I have no objective c coding or programming for that matter experience but I do a lot of photo editing so the photoshop aspect will not be a problem. Sorry my selling is so bad I’m typing this on my iPhone… The keybaord is really crammped and it’s hard to type… I’m sure you know. I love your tutorials really easy to follow. You should make one on how to code a app that’s gathers info from a web site. Kinda like a rss feed, I think. Must be fun having a kid around now. You should have two because two is dinner with one you need to constantly entertain him or her with two they entertain each other. If you could get back to me with some info or a “cheat sheet” for codeing that would be great. My names mike and my email is
